In these engaging and thoughtful video essays, Mohua G. Thakurta, used films in the public domain from the Prelinger archives and copyrighted Getty images to make an argument about representations of boys and girls. Thakurta employed the second category of the Documentary Filmmakers' Statement of Best Practices in Fair Use-quoting copyrighted works of popular culture to make an argument or a point. Without fair use, she could not have made this argument the way she did.
