Chang presents work from his newest project,
The Chain. These
nearly life-sized photographs depict the inmates of a mental asylum
in Taiwan. In addition to his work in Taiwan, Chang has worked extensively
in New York's Chinatown and the immigrant experience there. His
photographs have appeared in National Geographic, The New Yorker,
The Seattle Times and the Baltimore Sun among others.
Currently a photographer with Magnum photos, Chang
visits American University as part of the Camera as Catalyst Visiting
Photographers series.
