"History is exciting and I want to make it as exciting as it can be" says Oliver Stone in the introduction to his Showtime series, 'The Untold History of the United States'. Stone and American University Professor Peter Kuznick have partnered in creating the series that dives head first into the untold details or little known facts about some of the key events that shaped present day America. The series represents the influence of thought-provoking media in raising important questions about how society remembers the critical days that shaped the nation.
Departments across American’s campus will host Stone and Kuznick as they discuss and screen one of the episodes in the ten part series; focusing on the life, presidency and death of JFK.
The event will take place on March 28 at 8pm.
The event is free and open to the public.
American University is committed to providing accessible programs and services.
