SOUL FOOD JUNKIES screening with Director Byron Hurt

Filmmaker Byron Hurt explores the health advantages and disadvantages of soul food, a quintessential American cuisine. This film has been used as the lens to investigate the dark side of the food industry and the growing food justice movement that has been born in its wake. (Film Website) The Center is pleased to announce that Hurt will be present after the screening for a Q & A with the audience. This event is part of the Visting Filmmakers Series; a series which brings cutting-edge social documentaries and opportunties to hear from the filmmakers to the D.C. public.

 

This event will take place on March 28, 2013 from 5:30-8:00PM.

It is free and open to the public.
