The Spanish Embassy presents a screening of Mekong Butterflies
Held in conjunction with the AU Museum exhibition, Ricardo Calero. Goya. Disparates …. Continuity of an Unfinished Project, the Spanish Embassy presents a screening of Mekong Butterflies, a documentary about human trafficking and sex slaves from the Mekong River region of Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Her name, Leanaa, means “fate” in her native Cambodian language. She was sold into sex slavery, but she managed to escape. Now she’s on her way back to find the three friends she left behind in the brothel -and to help set them free.
