Local Community

Little-known websites of local groups are often the vital links that connect young people to civic activities in their communities. These local efforts often operate below the radar, as they can be informal, tenuously funded, short-lived, and hard to locate using a search engine. For all these reasons, they are probably under-represented in our study. But we did locate a few local civic projects that are truly outstanding.
