Welcome to our Revamped Blog!

Steady readers of our News from the Future of Public Media blog will have noticed some changes over the past few months. We’ve been doing more reporting on innovative public media projects and related trends and issues. We also recently combined posts from our Copyright and Fair Use blog into the mix, because we believe that intellectual property is a crucial issue in the evolution of user-generated and participatory media-making.
In honor of the center’s Making Your Media Matter conference, which starts this afternoon, we’re shifting the blog so that it becomes the main feature on our home page. I’ll be blogging directly from the conference, which promises to offer up a lively mix of demos and reports from creators at the cutting edge of social-issue media.
In the coming months, we’ll be adding more regular features, including a “Media Map of the Week,” which will feed into our ongoing Mapping Public Media project. We’d love your feedback on the blog’s content and direction—please post your comments here.
