Staff Bios
Alison Hanold
Alison Hanold is the Associate Director at the Center for Social Media, where she also heads up the Making Your Media Matter project. In addition to her work at the Center for Social Media, Alison is the VP of Membership for Women in Film and Video DC and is pursuing a Masters degree in Arts Management at AU. After receiving her degree from DePaul University in Digital Cinema, Alison worked as a documentary editor and in advertising production in Chicago. She additionally worked as the youngest member of the Board of Directors for Women in Film Chicago, where she established the Student WIF program. Alison has a passion for documentary film that works to incite social change, and with the evolution of online video as a legitimized and popular medium.
